Books!!

I am going to the bookstore today because I have a 25% off coupon. Unfortunately I don't know what to buy for myself. Sooo... I'm opening the floor for recommendations. I'll buy the first book someone recommends that I don't already own. And just so you all know, I don't like Sci-fi or Fantasy books. I don't read them, I don't like them. I also would don't read "romance" novels (aka soft core erotica... I like my erotica hard core damn it). But, for the sake of recommendations today, this is off. I'll read anything if I can find it and I don't already have it. If I already have the book or I can't find it at the store, I'll just scroll down to the next book. Fun, yes? So far, I've only read Practical Demonkeeping and Lamb, The Gospel according to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, both were very good. I'm currently reading Coyote Blue, his second book. I think you'd like any of his work. Posted by: monogodo at April 7, 2006 05:26 PM Its hard for me to reccomend books because I'm pretty much singularly a horror novel reader. I did enjoy: "Odd Thomas" and "Forever Odd" by Dean Koontz Posted by: YummY! at April 7, 2006 06:20 PM Monogodo - I picked up Coyote Blue and so far this is exactly what I was looking for in a new book. Thanks for the suggestion. YummY! - My favorite Dean Koontz book is The Bad Place. I will be going back to the bookstore tomorrow to buy another book because I have another coupon I should use. hehe. i had 2 25% off coupons and i got another one for next week, so keep the suggestions rolling in. Posted by: Utopia at April 7, 2006 08:04 PM if there is ANYTHING on my side bar you haven't read, start with the first one...they are all awesome. IF you have read them all...i will come up with some more :) Posted by: gusgreeper at April 8, 2006 06:16 PM do comments have to approved or is mine gone into cyber space? Posted by: gusgreeper at April 8, 2006 06:17 PM The Bone Collector (lincoln ryhmes is the main character) loved them all.... Posted by: KaraMia at April 11, 2006 02:54 PM I'm late to the party, but the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. It starts with Guilty Pleasures. Vampy and creepy and awesome and then it turns into near-erotica by the end of the series. Fun read. Posted by: Courtney at April 14, 2006 08:48 AM Post a comment |
