Mmm... Centrifuge
|
|
Today I got to play with the centrifuge at work. Its not as cool as the magnetic resonator, but still fun to play with. I was spinning down blood to syphon off the plasma. Much to my consternation, we were out of powder-free laytex gloves. I had to use the powdered ones. Now, if you know anything about lab work and gloves, you know that these gloves suck. Especially when you have to wear them for longer than a few minutes. No matter how many times you wash your hands the wet powder sticks to them, especially under the nails. Uhg. I also got to play with the tonometer bowl today and tanks of gas (obviously as I'm using the tonometer bowl). It has been a good gadget sort of day.
