Artemis and Apollo crashed
   into each other
The sun and the moon -
    divine twins
both, fell out of the sky.

The moon burst into flames
   and tumbled from the sky,
The earth stood still,
    uncertain on
   how to tell the times.

When the sun went out -
   Apollo diving in free fall -
Ash fell from the sky like snow
    The tears fell down across the Earth.

The remains of the day
    of the night
are covered in ash
   silent as snow,
tainted by tears.

The silence was ripe
   The sorrow overwhelming
Then twins of the sky died
   bringing the Earth
   the people, the times
   to a stillness
that no one could comprehend.
