Holy Shite, What IS it????
I am not hysterical. Really. Just a bit.... uhh.... shaken? I just found this in my washing as I picked it up.
In case you can't see that due to the shitty webcam pic.... THAT IS A HUGE FUCKING SPIDER.
I don't really like things that creep and crawl too much. I like to think I can be sensible about them but that thing creeped me out. When it had its legs spread out it was about 5cm in diameter. Thats just too big for me. I don't know what it is but we do have poisonus species here in Cyprus I think, so I freaked out and ran to get a jar. (Hubby of course, was conviently at work, so I had to be brave.) Meanwhile, Freja spotted it and went to pounce at it... A few seconds later she meowed horribly and ran away from it. I think it bit her... she seems to be ok, but she's kinda quiet so I'm worried... If anyone can tell me what this THING is I would be so happy.......I know the pics are too crappy to see, but it's brown and hairy and has a wierd flat bit on its back... *shudder*

It reminds me of a Wolf Spider which resides in this area of the USA but I doubt it would be on other continents. Wolf Spiders, by the way, are excellent jumpers and can go several feet through the air. Not a nice trait for a spider to have!

pft... It's just a shmall, brown shpider. Nothing to worry about as long as it doesnt sink his nice fangs into your ankle... Bah. *goes to get rid of it as all squeaky-squealy females ran away... that including the cat...*
