Muffins

MmmMmm. Muffins. I like muffins. Especially homemade apple and cinnamon muffins, such as those I am eating now. Unfortunately, these ones suck because I have such a terrible oven - no matter what heat you set it to, its burning hot - so by the time anything is cooked through to the middle, its carbonised on the outside. It sucks. It screws up my baking at that makes me very sad :( Alrighty, muffin rant over. Time to code.

I had an oven like that. Right now my oven actually heats unevenly so I always have to turn my dishes in the middle to get them to bake evenly. Very annoying when baking bread. I got a heating stone for my oven and it seemed to help.

If your oven is always scorching hot, try making a "shell" for the muffins your baking, it may equilize the temperature down to where you want it and heat things in the middle before burning the crust.
