Have you ever tried to chase a cat out of a room in complete silence, trying to communicate via gesture alone: "If you wake up that man by jumping on his feet he will not only skin you alive but he will probably use one of my ribs to do it." While the cat just stares at you, in complete miscomprehension? Bleh, hard work.
