Today is THE game...
The biggest rivalry hereabouts that you can witness. The Buckeyes (#1) versus the Wolverines (#2). People are always strongly tied to one or the other here... mostly OSU but plenty of Michigan fans to make it flamey. My neighbor is a Michigan fan... whilst WE are OSU all the way.
He came in the yard today to inspect the tile table that Lisa's niece made. The Ohio State emblem. It was excellent work. He proceeded to praise her on her work and then point out that the team would definitely lose to Michigan and had nearly every time they were number one...
Naturally I told him to, "Get the fuck out of my yard, Glenn!" Which he laughed and quickly left. Blashphemer.
Anyway, I can't wait til the game starts, I shall be catatonic on the sofa waiting til it starts when I become the animated screaming banshee with every pass and rush.

Lance Armstrong - 7 time Victorious
Congratulations to Lance Armstrong on his 7th straight win of the Tour De France. A survivor of cancer, a force to be reckoned with on a bike, he has been an exceptional example of never giving up and fighting til you cannot fight anymore. It was quite moving to watch this latest win. What a hero.

Olympic Awarding
Took me a day or so to notice this, but congratulations to London for receiving the 2012 Olympic hosting. I would have much preferred that New York had won (just to be able to get to go), but I know they were the underdog in the whole thing. Paris seems to have been the front runner, I wonder what happened to hedge them out. Moscow would have been a nice host as well. I can live with a London hosting, bring on the fish and chips and rain slickers.

Tour de France - Armstrong Watch
Today he finished in 63rd for the second stage, maintaining his overall 2nd place standing. Let's hope he can maintain his strong showing and win his 7th straight before he retires.

Viva la Williams
Congratulations to Venus Williams in winning the women's finals at Wimbledon in 4-6, 7-6, 9-7 game over Lindsay Davenport. It was quite an eventful and thrilling match to watch. Quite exciting to see a rank 14 player, past champion, fight her way back for the win against the number 1 ranked player in the world.
I love the Williams sisters, they are excellent athletes. I am always thrilled out of my mind watching them play and win.
