Autumn Season Viewing 2005
Again, stealing a page from Webkittyn, I shall now list out the television viewing of which I shall likely be partaking in this season (don't you worry, I still read avidly and work my arse off):
Sunday:
8pm EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION (ABC) - I watch this show and everytime it makes me cry. Happy cry. Its just good to see people that need new homes get them.
8pm CHARMED (WB) - this show has weakened as it has aged, but I continue to watch it... probably til it ends
9pm FAMILY GUY (FOX): Stewie and Bryan rule the show, I can't help but watch the madness.
9:30pm AMERICAN DAD (FOX)
11:30pm ROBOT CHICKEN (Cartoon Network) - insane shorts involving kids toys... it's hilarious!
11:45pm HARVEY BIRDMAN (Cartoon Network) - now who could possibly turn down the chance to watch Bubu get tried as the picnic basket unibomber; Fred Flinstone tried for being a mob boss; Race Bannon suing for custody of Johny and Haji from Dr. Quest... TOOO funny
12am STROKER AND HOOP (Cartoon Network) an out of control Skarsky and Hutch mixed with Knight Rider.
12:30am VENTURE BROTHERS (Cartoon Network) Mix Johnny Quest with a huge hit of acid and you get Venture Brothers. Its mesmerizing entertainment. I want more Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend!
1am AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE (Cartoon Network) I cannot watch this without cackling insanely... even though I have seen every episode already.
Tuesday:
9pm: MY NAME IS EARL(NBC) - I will absolutely watch this. If it stays this zany and perhaps even cranks it up a few more notches, it will last quite well in the comedic niche.
9pm: SUPERNATURAL (WB) - Two episodes in for the season and already its bearing the mantle of the new X-Files for me. I have enjoyed the writing style of the show and the way they have pulled off shocker moments... which are VERY rare on horror genre shows on television. Definitely worth watching.
Wednesday:
9pm: LOST (ABC) - This is one of those shows for me where I fight for control of the television and have a hissy over if someone is talking while I am trying to watch it. I love the cast, I love the writing... it's one of those shows for me where you can't wait to see what is happening each week even though LOGICALLY its all just to fantastic to happen at all... but that's what entertainment is for. Viva the Lost!
10pm INVASION (ABC)- I enjoyed the premiere of this show. It seems fairly similar in style to Lost so far, but one episode is hard to judge by... I give it a couple more weeks and we shall see if it holds my interest.
Thursday:
9pm CSI (CBS) - I have always liked CSI. Granted the last season was pretty much a downer, with the team being separated, but the finale' was quite stoked in my opinion. I will watch this show until it ends.
10pm ER (NBC) - ER is one of those shows that has continued to grow and live on, even after the beginning cast has moved on. I appreciate and enjoy the stories and new cast members. Another show I will faithfully watch to its termination.
Friday:
8pm STARGATE SG-1 (Sci-Fi): What can I say, I'm addicted to this show, even though it seems to be struggling with the transition to new team members. I personally like the inclusion of former FARSCAPE cast members to the line-up. The new enemy is quite good, and Louis Gossett, Jr's appearances make it worth it.
9pm STARGATE ATLANTIS (Sci-Fi): I personally like the stories for Atlantis better than SG-1... perhaps its the DS-9 or Babylon-5 feeling of having an outpost out in the middle of nowhere where they pretty much have to fend for themselves.
9pm THREE WISHES (NBC): I am a sucker for shows that try to make life better for those in need, sign me up to watch this! Amy Grant... LOVE HER!
10pm BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (Sci-Fi): I religiously watch this show, hungrily and happily devouring each episode, squalling for more. I loved the original as a kid, and this version is NOWHERE near like it in any way. No more camp. What was originally conceptualized as the flight from genocide by the machine race, has grown up into the serious topic it always was. You now see the human plight, the suffering, the perserverence, the growth. It's an exceptionally well-done show.
Saturday: Animation Day!
8pm TEEN TITANS (Cartoon Network)
9pm NARUTO (Cartoon Network)
10pm JUSTICE LEAGUE (Cartoon Network): Finally, a rendition that isn't Superfriends camp!
11:30pm INUYASHA (Cartoon Network): INUYASHA SIT!
12am FULL METAL ALCHEMIST
