Bless the Fed, Damn the State

I was going to go in yesterday and pay the $3,000 tuition bill, but Financial aid was closed after an open house for tours. So I called this morning, and was welcomed with the news that my Pell Grant had returned to halve this white whale of a bill. I now only have to cough up $1,600 by today, thank goodness a credit card check came yesterday with my renewal card. Now if only the State would process my student aid report I may be able to breathe again. I have all of $500 dollars left in my checking account, which at least lets me dent into the payment this month when the credit card bill comes now (I'm one of those that rarely use their credit cards, of which I only have two, and always pay the balance off that month, no luck this time). I credit the good juju and pass it on :)
