Early Morning Ring

I went to bed early. At 1:30 am, I awake in that semi-delirious, mostly asleep depth where I know I have heard the doorbell ring. I hear the dog barking. I didn't get up though.

This morning the neighbor kids come over and tell us about a red truck with dualies in the back that stopped at 1:30am. Two men get out, look in our windows, and ring the doorbell before leaving quickly. No one we know. Paranoia grows.
