Open Trackback Tuesdays

These aren't as easy to upkeep as I thought, but it's an obligation and I have limited time these days, so let me just post a few that looked amusing this week...

Comedienne Jenee had a post that tweaked my funnybone with her thoughts on phone headsets in public.

Here's a new one to my list. I found this post on 123beta, to be rather amusing. Celebrity suggestions for the next U.S. Press Secretary.

The great Blogmistress and OTA benefactor, Samantha Burns gives us the Top 10 (or so) Bumper Stickers For Bad Drivers

Peemills blog gives us a whimsical look at his thoughts on supermarket shopping.

My site/blog designer, Webkittyn finds that everyone will most likely be a sucker once. Or maybe just these poor gullible fools. No one should have to pay for this.

Ok... that's enough for me today and the OTA. Blog on!

Open Trackback Tuesday

So it's OTA Tuesday. Sometimes this reminds me of homework, but it's all worth it in the end. Everyone seems to do this trackback thing differently, so I see there are no definitive formatting rules. Only that you track a few people back. I chose to summarize a bit of the blogs I visited.

Here are some of the reads this week:

*As much as Webkittyn loves the motion picture; "The Dirty Dozen", I happenstanced upon the Pirate King's post on speculation on casting for a remake of said film. Cast speculation is fun. I remember I had been doing that for years. The only one I ever pegged right was who should play Professor X in the X-Men movies.

*Diane has confused me with what a "WallyWorld" is. I hope someday she takes the time to explain this to us.

*Comedian Jenee makes me giggle everytime. THIS time she has a post that reminded me of my odd times at the fast food drive thru. This was a short post, but it was typical of experiences I've had.

*Bullwinkle further supports my feelings about global warming.

* 7 deadly Sins gave us twisted thoughts on those who pronounce "David" , "Da-veed".

* May or May not is a selfproclaimed gay orthodox Jew. He had an interesting take on Catholic Charities in relation to gays with this post.

That's this week on the OTA.

Tuesday with the OTA

Ok...here's some of the weekly reads I'm having a good time with:

Webkittyn challenges the misconceptions of Republicans in this weeks post. I have a few good points in rebuttal to make. I'll probably make them tomorrow.

Keeping up with current events, this post by The Liberal Wrong reports how terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui is now eligible for the death penalty. That's one mo-fo I would wait in line to see fry, being a New Yorker and only 14 miles from the WTC.

The Pirates Cove , the blog that claims it's "So Offensive It Shouldn’t Be Read By Anyone", lives up to it's claim with this funny (in a tongue and cheek sort of way), yet disturbing post.

In keeping an eye on the oppostion, I found this funny video post at Pursuing Holiness. This cute little animal comparison to the attitudes of people on Friday vs. Monday proves that there's a sense of humour on their side also. That's the best part of the OTA...it brings together people who wouldn't normally read each others blogs.

This entry from Oblogatory Anecdotes is a post that reminds Americans how modern day slavery is really what is practised in America with the employment of underpaid immigrant Mexican workers. So many times I see them standing at a central place waiting for someone to give them a days hard work for the price of a Happy Meal. What's odd is that they have more drive for the American Dream than most of America.

Ok... 5 is enough for this week. See all you OTA folks next week!

So I Joined the OTA

The OTA is the Open Trackback Alliance. Pretty much, it's a way that more people can learn of each others blogs and such. It helps people discover new blogs and prompts people to read more of them.

I like to go for those that show a bit of a humorous side to them. Life can't be serious all the time... and when it is, I like to find some good blog escapism.

Granted, this is like the second time I'm doing this, so I don't know if the trackbacks are working right, however...

Either way, I went hunting for some of the funnier posts I could find. Not all of them are current...but I thought they'd be good to share.

Some posts, like the ones on Customer Servant, are whimsical. Some, like the ones at History Mike are just ironic. Some, like Imagine Kitty just pleasantly wax nostalgic.
Some just tell odd jokes. There's always a fun post at The 7 Deadly Sins like this post to be found.
Some, like People Are Idiots are just friggin downright HILARIOUS!! Other's are just a blogging wonderland of odd visuals over at the Point5 blog. The most disturbing yet classically absurd posts are found at Peemill. There's this one post that made me think of the old Eddie Murphy" Dexter in "de island o' love" bit. "He's swingin' it agin..."

So there you have it. Click a few links and join in the fun. In a way, it's like doing homework.

I was supposed to have these in by Tuesday, but I was working on the fill in show for Webkittyn Wednesdays Internet Mango Radio Show. So I'm a few minutes late...will it hurt anyone?
