True 3D...STUNNING.

I'm amused. I went to see Coraline last night because it was in it's last night of 3D. Now I've always been amused by 3D like allot of people, but I think they finally perfected it.

I remember the first feature film in 3D I was "Spy Kids 3" in 3D. I only went because the movie I REALLY wanted to see was sold out. It was al that was left. That was the movie with Shark-Boy and Lava Girl. Yes, it was stupid and the 3D was more headache provoking. I thought I'd lay off 3D for a bit.

Beowulf was next in 3D. No headache on that one. The experience was a little dark with the polarized glasses, but almost perfect. They should include the glasses and make it 3D in Blu Ray.

Harry Potters 4th film was 3D, but only in certain scenes. They should've had it throughout the movie so I didn't feel stupid wearing them the whole time. In all experiences, I found them dark and not so easy to see. There was good 3D but not GREAT 3D.

"Coraline" (from the director of "The Nightmare before Christmas" who is NOT Tim Burton) touts to be "TRUE3D" like someone saying "TRUE HD", and it was! It was a totally different experience. The 3D was fanciful, captivating and amazing. They showed Pixar trailers for the upcoming Ice Age 3 and Aliens vs. Monsters and I have to tell you, they look amazing as 3D trailers so it's not doubt that they'll be incredible on screen with this new TRUE 3D.

Coraline the movie itself was well put together and enjoyable with an "above simple" plot. Good light fair for the kid in all of us.
