This is a minor short. There will be other juicy stuff later.
I started my day sitting with migrant workers and others who don't "no speaky" english on the wretched bus because I had to go to my mom's and the car I drive is in the shop. I'd much rather stayed home snuggled with my cat on my day off. Wouldn't you know...you sit on a bus, your bag is next to you so no one will sit next to you and the hugest, ugliest, boil and wart infested dirty face, filthy jacket should be burnt let alone washed, smelly, unknown race of a fugly woman comes on the bus. Then there's the prayer you can hear in everyone's mind filtering through .."please don't let that sit next to me...please don't let that sit next to me... PLEASE don't let that FUCKING sit next to me!!!"
I lost that lottery.
Luckily I got off in the next 2 stops...or rather jumped off and walked a few blocks to the transfer point.
OK... Today I took mom out shopping. She's still post stroke and all so she needs me to drive for her...
We went to Bloomingdales in another state simply because she believed that they were the only one to have a specific Chinese medallion rug. I had never heard these terms before in a sentence. Anyway, my sister informed me later that she's chasing a rug she saw like 1 1/2 years ago before the stroke. Discontinued of course by now.
Anyway... The funniest moment to me was whenI noticed that they played 100% Christmas songs in the store. Jose Feliciano was on with Feliz Navidad. Now we know that mostly Jewish wives shop Bloomingdales which got me to start singing for my mom and her aide. So sing along with me as I did for them:
