TV Tech geeks! I need your advice!

Good Morning , Mr. Phelps...Your mission today, if you choose to accept it..."

So I have a quest. It's to find the best use of $1000 for a large HDTV. The choices are few at this time, but available. Don't ask me where the money is coming from or why the budget is so. Just factor that this is all there is. Just add delivery and tax (hopefully none if purchased out of state.)

Here are the choices:

1) $929.00
HL-S5087W Samsung HLS5087W 50 Inch Rear Projection Television

2) $999.00 HL-S5088W Samsung HLS5088W 50 Inch 1080P High Definition DLP TV

3) $999.44 Mitsubishi Diamond Series WD-57831 - 57" 831 Series rear projection TV ( DLP ) - widescreen - 1080p (FullHD) - HDTV

4) $999.99 Samsung PN50A450 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV

5) $999.96
Hitachi P50H401 Plasma HDTV - 50", 720p/1080i, Black, 1280 x 1080, ATSC, NTSC, RS-232, HDMI

6) $999.99 Samsung HL50A650 50in 1080p DLP HDTV with TR500X3B Stand (Bundle)

7) $1069.90 Panasonic Viera TH-50PX80U 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV

8) $1099.99 Samsung 50" Plasma HDTV with "FilterBright" Anti Glare and Anti "Burn In" Technology

If you think you know TV's...please chime in in the comment section.
