ROCKSTAR: INXS Finale

Well...what can you do. It seems I can never pick a winner. I rooted for Bo Bice to win American Idol. He lost. Now my streak of picking the second place guy continues. Y'know... you don't win the Silver, you lose Gold. This time it's Marty.

Now I started rooting for Marty after Ty was booted and now HE has lost. I just can't pick 'em. Marty losing may not much matter. He's better off with his own creative freedom. INXS told him they wanted to talk to him about opening for them when they tour with the winner.

Oh yea...the winner you ask?

Congratulations go to JD.

The final three were Marty, JD and MIG. Only MIG cracked and was pitchy on what should have been an easy song for him. he came from stage theater and was in a Queen tributary show. But he really didn't deliver well with his final performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody". I don't think he was right for INXS.

MIG has too much the "Duran Duran" look for that band.

When they moved onto the final two...I thought for sure it would be Marty. Little did I know that Marty would join MIG at the bottom two.

Marty was awesome. He kept his quirkiness in check and seemed like he nailed his performance with INXS . Hat's off to you. Ya done good. I'll never forget that re-imagining of "Hit me baby , one more time". That was a great way to show you can make anything shitty sound so cool.

Marty was an anomolly. He was Iggy Pop, David bowie and Mick Jagger all in one with a twist of Manson. I'll be watching your career.

I guess INXS thought JD was better suited for the band...even though I personally thought he was a pompous ass. They picked a guy who once impersonated Elvis to replace Michael Hutchence. I'm sorry... I thought Marty was a better choice. But we're all allowed to have opinions and not everyones opinion sucks.

Congratulations once again JD. You're the new face and voice of INXS.

I'll still only go to the tour if Marty opens.
